On the Difference between 'Joy' and 'Happiness'

The irritating sound of the banging alarm clock ends my world that I couldn’t even recall. This world of mine frees me from the stress that I encounter every day that I breathe. This time, even it only lasts for two hours, feels like a year of work-free life and rest. Still, all good things have an end. I need to stand up again and face the same stress that I’ve left during my sleep.

Don’t forget to smile, pray, and smile brighter when you wake up.

You know when a smile is greater than a laugh? It is when the former is purer than the latter.

A joyful heart is a loving heart

I am a typical college student— the one who always deals with projects and tasks, fights with stresses, and meets several deadlines. Aside from that, I am also a normal teenager. I have pressures to work on. I am learning and still continuing to understand myself and my purpose. But even though these things run on me like a heavy rainfall, I do not stop for nothing. I am courageous, and still running a positive outlook of life. When I’m down, I choose to be happy. On the other side of it, I can still run a true smile preparing myself for even more. There’s no reason to be depressed. My heart is joyful.

Happiness is a choice. You can laugh if you can. Being happy resides in a person who may take it. But happiness, like all the other things in this world, is not permanent. It has limitations. You can’t always laugh even you wish too. It has to undergo certain conditions that will define its true meaning. It is an emotional feeling characterized by positive state, but not everlasting. The world is full of happiness. It can be found on almost all things you may like. But still, the world offers us the imperfect happiness that is temporary.

At least which came from God, joy, is absolute and imperishable. It is felt by the heart and soul. Joy is pure. It lasts for it is far more than a physical positive state. It is the TRUE HAPPINESS. The true happiness that is greater than the world. For it can’t be found in the world, but in God only. And all of them in God is joyful, peaceful, worry-free, loved and loving, and rejoices with the truth. The joy of the heart never fails. It is eternal.

You know what’s the difference between happiness and joy? Joy is greater for it came from God and resides in our hearts. A joyful heart is a pure heart. If we have God, we have joy. If we have joy, we can experience everlasting happiness. No problems can stop us—even if it is the world, for God is greater than it. We must learn how to put problems on our feet and surf on them.
